Research interest

My scientific interest encompasses various aspects of Planetary geophysics. More specifically, I enjoy studying large-scale physical processes with geologic implications, from lithospheric compensation mechanisms, thermal evolution models, to the spatio-temporal variation of the magnetic field.

I recently defended my Ph. D. thesis (2017 – Oct. 2020, English manuscript link, slides link), which main objective is to characterize the composition, elastic and thermo-mechanical properties of the Martian lithosphere using orbital data. My thesis was done at the Observatoire de la Côte d'Azur (Nice, France), under the supervision of Mark Wieczorek, and as a member of the research group Théories et Observations en Planétologie. Collaborator of NASA's InSight Mission, I also participate in the analysis and interpretation of the collected data.

Deeply attached to the transmission of knowledge, I was a teaching assistant at the Department of Earth, Environment & Space of the Université de Nice Côte d'Azur, where I contribute to the following undergraduate courses: Planetology, Mineralogy, Stratigraphy & Paleontology, Sedimentology, Magmatism & Metamorphism, Mass wasting & risks, Fieldworks (Alps). I also give lectures to middle school students, and attend to several public outreach events where I talk about geology and geophysics in the solar system.

I am now starting a postdoc position at the Lunar and Planetary Laboratory of the University of Arizona (Tuscon, USA) with Jeffrey Andrews-Hanna, to work on Hesperian volcanism on Mars.
